SCOOT BIO
"ScOOt music will satisfy that sweet spot in your brain"
It takes a professional to seamlessly blend booty shakin’ rhythm with lasting, meaningful lyrics, but that is exactly what ScOOt is and it is exactly what he has done. Like mama’s Southern cookin’ sticks to your gut, ScOOt music will satisfy that sweet spot in your brain and keep a smile on your face. Very real, very fun, and very entertaining – this music and this life makes sense.
In addition to being that talented musician and songwriter, ScOOt is also an entertainer. His audiences are at ease with his professional yet friendly, fun showmanship, and most everyone in attendance leaves a true fan.
Whether he performs solo, duo with percussion, or with his Trio, ScOOt always delivers. With several independently released CDs under his belt, many with high marks from national reviewers, it's easy to see and hear how serious this guy is about his life’s work. From his songs about eating fatback and growing up in small-town USA to his funky-punk twist on a kid in a candy store, the best way to describe his music is "Southern Soul". And that soul shines through with every note.
If History has proven one thing, it’s that important things last. Whether in their original form or faithfully recreated in tribute by an admirer, quality works are timeless. This is true of life, people, and music. Thousands of new records are released every year and only a handful have any lasting merit. ScOOt is one of a very few gifted performers with the ability to play another artist’s music with justice and more. His original tunes feel immediately familiar, like a classic always does.
After a recent gig, one patron and new fan best summed up the ScOOt musical experience: "Now THAT was a show!"

Scoot Pittman is a singer/songwriter who displays an emotive (read: genuine), bluesy acoustic soul rock sentiment which showcases a nice streetwise eclectic sound. He plays all the aforementioned elements with a live and kickin' attitude, and there's no reason why he can't be a star on the touring jam band circuit~ Samir Shukla - Creative Loafing
Instead of describing the show, I'll give you a few adjectives: quick on the uptake, pure quality, up to snuff, all there, on the ball, scintillating, glorious, dazzling, splendid, splendiferous, magnificent, marvelous, palatable, recherché, sensational, stupendous, superb, undefiled, in a class by oneself... NUFF SAID? I would definitely recommend Scoot Pittman for everyone. If ya don't believe me...go see him yourself and/or buy a CD~ Topher - Anti-Star.com
