Jellybeans moves up to #3

Just wanted to add a quick update that Jellybeans is currently #3 in the Pop/Punk Chart @ Garageband.com. On a rather humorous note, I received a case of jellybeans today from the Jelly Belly Company. Makers of the best jellybeans on earth. Now that's making Poppa a hero to my 3 daughters! Thanks Jelly Belly!!

Happy New Year Everybody!
Sorry it's been a while but I've been so busy with alot of exciting stuff. Let me start by saying thanks so much for a wonderful 2007. It's means the world to me that you care about me and my music.

My latest CD, Lake Montonia Road is 10 copies away from being out of print. CDbaby.com has those remaining copies. You will always be able to digitally download at Itunes.com and other places on the net (view my links page).

Garageband.com is now featuring my Pop/Punk song "Jellybeans" as the Track of the Week for the week of Feb. 5th. Jellybeans is also ranked #6 on the charts! Pretty cool stuff. Click on the link to view my pages at Garageband.com

ASU HOMECOMING 2007

You know where Boone is NOW! What a beautiful day it was on Saturday, October 6th at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. For the 3rd year in a row we played at ASU's Homecoming Tailgate Party for Spud, Paul & friends and yes indeed again, they won Best Tailgate Party!!!
It was great to see everyone up in the mountains again this year and what can I say about that shrimp boil? Unbelievable, again! This years theme was "Bringin' the Bayou to Boone". Good Lord Almighty and bring it they did. Can't wait til next year. I'll book a weekend show up there and really make it an even bigger party in 2008!

Thanks again to Paul, Spud and all my fellow Mountaineers for another great time at ASU Homecoming!!

NEW WEBSITE

Hope ya like the new website. I went back to using an html site instead of the flash. Lotta folks said they couldn't get in to the flash site from their computer either at work, home, cell phone...etc.
God Bless those that aren't that computer savy. It's alright, Uncle Scootie has made it easy for ya now. Let me know what ya think about the new site. Just wanted to get back to simple life on the web. Fits well with my real life...

Thanks to Chris Reynolds for doing the new site. Best part is he's a great guy and very talented. Visit Chris at www.chrislreynolds.com

IN THE STUDIO

Recorded 4 tracks at Old House Studio with Chris Garges engineering on Tuesday, August 14th. Going back in Thursday, August 23 to finish the vocal tracks and mix the songs. My band, which consists of Brent Couch (drums), Scott Pope (bass) and Joe Lindsay (guitar) did an amazing job. We're excited about the future for the band. Many things are going on for us right now. When the time is right, I'll fill everyone in on what's happening. Until then, the EP should be ready for the public within the next week or so.

Thanks to Chris Garges for doing and outstanding job on the recording. He's a gifted young whippersnapper! So very easy to deal with. I feel very fortunate to work with him. Contact Chris at www.chrisgarges.com for anything musical that you may need and tell him I sent ya. You'll be glad ya did...
